florals for spring April 15 2012

Cardigan: new to me, from cousin Christy
Jewellery: Hattitude, my own line of jewellery check it out here
Romper: Vintage, Used House of Vintage, Vancouver
Tights: Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Vintage, Guelph

How this outfit came to be Hattified: I wanted to wear this romper, since I just got it the other day while shopping with my mama. Mustard is my favourite colour... thus
it made sense to pair it with my mustard tights and belt. To add another layer and Hattify this outfit real good, I added the texture of the lace cardigan, (thanks christilina) and the long neutral coloured necklace.

Why this outfit works: It's not too much mustard. Just enough mustard in my opinion. I could have went all out and put a mustard sweater on, but I refrained myself and just added the beige with lace cardigan to add another texture and interesting effect.

Another version: Wear it with brown tights and a brown belt to calm this look down. Don't forget to wear your Hattitude jewels. If you're wearing Hattitude this weekend out and about around town, tweet me @hattitudejewels of you wearing it, or email me hattitude at live . com

Tonight (which is last night, I do my posts one day in advance) we are going to see Joel Plaskett. I'm excited because it will be the third main concert venue in Vancouver that we get to cross off our list. My favourite so far is of course, the commodore ballroom, where we saw Bombay Bicycle Club. It has my heart, through and through and through (get it? Joel's song? ha-ha).

Yesterday was one of the first days that I sat out on my balcony and soaked in the sun while staring out at the water, reading canadian book title, Origins of Species. Have you read it? Do you have any good book suggestions? I'm always looking for some.

Hard to imagine we are going home to Ontario, in 6 days! Friendlies from home, tell me it's nice there? I left in the winter, and am still picturing you all stuck in snow parkas with crisp white snow around you. Oy.
