THIS TIME 6 YEARS AGO MY DOCTORS AND FAMILY DIDN'T THINK I'D LIVE TO SEE THE WEEKEND...

Fast forward in time and now I'm getting married this weekend. From death, to love, what a journey. A journey that would never have happened if it wasn't for my organ donor and their family. 6 years ago on July 5th I got a call that forever changed my life.

I RECEIVED A DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT THAT SAVED ME.

It's such a surreal feeling knowing how close death was and how scared and sorrowful we all were this same time 6 years ago, and now how much love and happiness this week represents this year.  

ON SATURDAY TRISTAN AND I ARE GETTING MARRIED.

I am eternally grateful for these extra 6 years. Thank you donor whoever you are. I'm thinking of your family today and the sadness they are enduring on this anniversary.
